Origins

I’m not clear on the origins of “The Borings” but it has become a nickname that my parents have adopted and feel it is very fitting. I personally don’t think they are boring nor do I feel that I am boring but I’ll leave that up to you to decide.

If I remember correctly the name was given to us by a family friend. He has a knack of distributing nicknames to people with ease. For example my personal name was “Claytonian” which many people have continued to use to this day, and my mother’s was know as “The Lean” (not sure on how that would be spelled) her actual name being Marlene. As a family we had a reputation of not liking social events and keeping to ourselves which gives a good foundation for being called “The Borings”.
