WORSHIP

Bringing to light God’s activity in the world through the corporate expressions of beauty and art.

“When He had reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him.” (Luke 24:30-31; Msg.)

At Real Life Community Church we have 5 core practices. All of which are equally important and I am passionate about all of them. I’m sure as time goes by I’ll have thoughts I want to share on all 5 but number 4 “Worship” is near and dear to my heart.

It is my desire to help you (and me) understand and experience the fullness of this idea of “corporate expressions of beauty and art. What can be corporate worship? Is anything out of the realm of possibilities? How can beauty and art be used in a worship service on Sunday? While you are out at dinner with some friends? Can both be considered times of corporate worship? I would say yes. What is beauty? What is art? These are all ideas I want to explore. I want to come to a fuller understanding of God’s beauty and light in our world through the Arts. What do you think? Feel free to leave comments. I would love to hear your thoughts.
